Reyni INGLAVUR

Ingálvur av Reyn – (Torshavn 1920). “Non-figurative” painter. His art is characterized by a French taste for color and hue, inspired by Cezanne and Matisse.

From the 1940s and the 1950s Reyni paints landscapes, interiors and Cubist-style figures. Then he deepens the non-figurative art, portraying mostly landscapes and, subsequently, abstractions of groups and figures, with a great emphasis to chromatics..
