Vidoy

Vidoy takes its name by the great quantity of drifting seaweeds (vidur), in the western part of the island.

The most densely populated city is Viðareiði, inserted in a magnificent natural landscape.

North of the village/city, there is the Norduroyggjar, the highest mountain of the Faeroes, and the Villingadalsfjall, 844-meter-high, the third peak of the Faeroes.
